Under the federal Liability Risk Retention Act, a risk purchasing group is a group of similar businesses that share common risk characteristics and join together to purchase liability insurance from an insurance company.
A risk purchasing group purchases liability coverage from an insurance company for its members. A risk retention group is itself a liability insurance company owned by its members.
No. Drayage is a risk purchasing group—a group of businesses with similar risk characteristics that purchases liability insurance from an insurance company.
No. Under the Drayage program, each certificate has its own aggregate limit. Refer to the issued certificate and policy for the specific limits that apply.
No. Certificates are individually billed. Nonpayment may result in cancellation of the individual insured's certificate, not the coverage of every member.
An individual claim by another certificate holder does not cancel or change your certificate during its current coverage term. Each claim is reviewed under the applicable policy and certificate.
Timing depends on the size and completeness of the submission. Drayage generally aims for a 24-hour turnaround on complete quote requests, while larger or more complex submissions may take longer.
RPG membership is annual and may be discontinued. Any change to coverage is subject to the applicable policy terms, notice requirements, and billing obligations.
No. Every application is reviewed by the underwriting team, and the applicant must meet applicable membership and underwriting criteria before coverage can be offered.

No. Drayage's Auto and General Liability program does not use one common expiration date for every member. Each certificate reflects its own applicable term.
